HAMK Häme University of Applied Sciences meets ruvido
Seven artists, one real brief.
We asked students at HAMK to interpret ruvido's character through their own eyes.
Seven artists for a total of twenty-eight proposals, and two of them are now part of the collection.

Veronika Janstova
Veronika Janstova is an artist exploring the issues of nowadays society and one self. She is on the pursuit of the art that is taking open-minded but equally critical approach.
Trying to capture the nostalgia and the raw emotion, she depicts and focuses on the topics like the complexity of relationships, the chase of money, addiction and overall journey towards purpose, peace and better self.
Janstova takes her inspiration mainly from childhood naivety, restlessness and constant exploration expressing it via cartoons and illustrations with a hint of satire and edginess.
Influenced by her previous studies in climate smart agriculture and further studies in sustainable design, she aims to connect sustainability and her view on life in unique ways via her brand Cooties.
Iuliia Salukvadze and Aóoe Songo
Iuliia Salukvadze
Born in Ukraine, Iuliia S. lives and works in Finland. She is a multidisciplinary designer with a multicultural background and a natural pull to aesthetics. A history of frequent relocation and exposure to diverse cultures has shaped her practice that remains independent of any single discipline, favoring a path of continuous experimentation across various fields of design.
Iuliia’s spontaneous decision to pursue studies in Smart and Sustainable Design (Glass and Ceramics) at HAMK University reflects a belief that education is not about reaching a final destination, but a way to preserve a "beginner’s mind" and a sense of curiosity. Recently, her primary focus has evolved into exploring the connection between the rigorous principles of sustainable design and raw human emotion.
Iuliia’s work is characterized by an emphasis on tactility, the collaboration of materials, and a blend of forms that often retains a touch of playfulness.

Aóoe Songo
Aóoe Songo (b. 1995, Belarus) is a visual artist based in Finland whose work explores themes of shared existence, mobility, and structural entropy through abstract ceramic forms.
Rooted in a background in mathematics and software engineering, Aóoe’s practice approaches material behavior with analytical precision while examining the shift away from hyper-individualism toward mutual care and community. They are currently pursuing studies in Sustainable Design at Häme University of Applied Sciences (HAMK).

Katja Raski is a creative designer with 8 years of freelance experience, a thoughtful approach, and a practical mindset. She turns ideas into clear, considered designs, and makes the process easy along the way.
Alina Saripova
Sonja Ahonen
Sonja Ahonen is a Finnish illustrator, graphic designer, and future digital solutions designer. She sees the world through the colourful lenses of a storyteller, finding inspiration in textures, vibrant colours, and layers. Her work is rooted in a fascination with storytelling and a talent for discovering a touch of magic in the small observations of everyday life. In her free time, Sonja enjoys spending time with her family, getting lost in books, and keeping company with her cats — while collecting ideas and observations for future illustrations and creative projects.
